Character, commitment, devotion and integrity
Born into a military family on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay, John learned the value of character, commitment, devotion and integrity. After relocating up and down the East Coast for 15 years he finally settled in Florida. Upon graduating he decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Regrettably, he was unable to enlist due to being legally blind in one eye but that never stopped him from finding other dreams to pursue.
Discovering his passion
Quickly, he discovered a passion for sales and succeeded for years leading and managing multiple locations in the cellular industry. Once presented with the opportunity of opening his own locations in SouthWest Florida he immediately said, “yes!” and began a new journey as an entrepreneur. Though successful and fulfilling as this path was for John, he has a love for challenges. It wasn’t long before something meaningful presented itself.
Starting a new adventure
While speaking to a good friend one day this new adventure was discovered and began what would become his path today. John obtained his real estate license in 2006 and became a broker in 2008. Utilizing his sales background and love for real estate, he began educating and training agents as a Managing Broker with an independent brokerage firm. He has educated many agents throughout his real estate career. Learning the ins and outs of the business, as an agent and through the eyes of a broker, led John to search for a tool to assist agents and brokers alike. His desire was to make agents more efficient and effective while keeping the brokerage on the same page.
Game changer
The game changing tool that John discovered was appFiles. As an early customer of appFiles he had the distinct pleasure of working directly with David Reed, appFiles Founder and CEO. From the very beginning it was easy to see, appFiles was a different type of program. Being a broker in the heart of the technology explosion there seemed to be a software program for anything and everything. But therein lies the problem. Too many software programs.
Programs did not integrate with each other, communicate with each other, and only seemed to do one specific portion of what agents and brokers need to do. In many cases, it was just easier to use pen and paper again. appFiles changed all of that! It worked for both agents and the brokerage. There was finally a single platform that allowed agents to work quickly, easily and effectively.
Finally home
John found his worthy goal at last. To share what he had discovered with others.
